You can't create a film without amazing Executive Producers. I am thankful that recently Garth Brooks at the CMA awards immediately thanked the band and crew for helping put him out on the road. If you don't have the people who are willing to stand up and be accountable to bringing the film from dream into a reality, the dream never happens.
It takes a lot of committed people to make movies and our team is growing every day. The reason is because of people being committed to go the extra mile. When you take the mantra of "helping the visually impaired", this is a big dream, but not impossible.
Allow me to share the exciting news which transpired in early Fall of 2017 and especially of the hard work accomplished in Colorado. Special thanks first go to Jim Gromer, for investing time, finances and his personal belief in making a series of meetings, a stark reality.
Next, we thank Nicholas C. Karas, who is the brother of Ellen and he was the first EP to stand up and say, "Yes, I want to help my sister and make this dream a reality". I am so thankful for his leadership along with his beautiful wife Chrissy. Sometimes, when you take a small step of faith, even greater things happen in the future.
Last month, I was honored to be hosted by one of our producers at GR Productions, Jim Gromer in the state of Colorado. He invited our team to Colorado for many reasons, but especially for meeting about important films in the future. One of the key "leading films" we discussed was ELLENS LIGHT! Jim is one of our film team producers and he brought a guest with him to one of our film screenings. Without Jim, the ball did not move forward, but look what happened as a result of his faithfulness.
Jess Stainbrook made his "mark" in film as an Executive Producer for the film, SEVEN DAYS IN UTOPIA which was an excellent film about golf. Robert Duvall did his usual amazing job on screen and Jess had written the first five drafts of the screenplay to get the project started.
At the screenings, Nicholas invited his son and entrepreneurial success Aristotle Karas and Karen Elkins, philanthropists from the Colorado region. Aristotle caught the imagination of ELLENS LIGHT immediately and has come on board as the new Executive Producer.
However, it didn't stop there. Nicholas brought Glenn Brown, the pioneer of "ice hockey" being birthed in the Republic of Turkey. Glenn had met Nick at the Veterans gathering in Colorado and immediately responded to the "call" to help make this film a dream.
Glenn Brown is now on board as one of the Executive Producers joining our team to make this film happen. Can you believe it? Because of the faithfulness of good men stepping out in faith, look at the results of this happening.
Ellen Karas has been working diligently in Texas with staff and volunteers and there will be an "end of the year" event in Austin celebrating the birth of "Ellens Light" as we seek visionaries to help make this dream happen.
If Ellen had not started this entire ball to rolling, none of these many meetings would have ever taken place. Do you see the power of how faith plays a role in every project?
Lord David Alton from the British House of Lords in London, once told us, "It takes one stone to start a landslide". His words have never rang so true and here is what happens when you step out in faith.
Thank you all for your continued support and a special thank you is being sent to the Karas family members in Colorado and beyond. This family has seen what took place in August of 1998 and in this season of thanksgiving, we want to say THANK YOU KARAS FAMILY.
Whenever you take a huge film franchise on like this, you must crawl, walk and then run together. Many people are not working hard. Nick and Glenn are on the road making everything happen. Ellen and company are diligently working in Texas and the GR Productions team is ramping up for filming. With Deepest Appreciation,
