The most important roles we all play in filmmaking, is when we come together with a unified vision and a unified purpose. Our film franchise is built around helping the visually impaired. I can't think of many causes that come close to being as focused as ours is on solutions.
Because of Ellen, we have rallied people from many races all over the world and have been conducting screenings in Texas, Michigan, North Carolina, Colorado and beyond all in the final quarter of 2017. When reflecting on the many people who are now "on board", we can only stop to say thank you.
Nick Karas met with our team and heard the dream of his sister and without hesitation, volunteered to find others who would join us in the crusade and he succeeded. Aristotle Karas his son came on board and has immediately introduced our film team to prominent financial partners and investors. We are so thankful for his vision for what this film and others like it can mean to the world.
Nick did not stop with family, but then introduced our team to Glenn Brown from Colorado, a former United States Air Force veteran and the founder and pioneer of Ice Hockey in the Republic of Turkey. Glenn has joined the Executive Producing Team to help find sources who might participate in this historic film.
Glenn Brown went to work immediately and began hosting and funding screenings nationwide. In December, because of Glenn, we traveled to Detroit, Michigan and then to Jackson, Michigan, the birth home of Tony Dungee to showcase our movie LAST OUNCE OF COURAGE, a film dedicated for our US Veterans in 2012 with one purpose, to share the story of ELLEN'S LIGHT. Glenn booked us on local radio and the results were overwhelmingly positive.
We believe Civil Servants just like Ellen was when the bombs went off in Tanzania and Kenya are just as purposed and mission minded as any other military volunteer and they should be honored. On a wintry night in Michigan, a standing ovation for the film and for the film team was part of this magical night, that never would have taken off, it were not for Glenn.
This is the kind of dedication that "wins the race" for Ellen and we are so thankful for the team of Executive Producers who continue to open doors for us to screen movies, share our story of Ellen and talk about how people can help the visually impaired with us.
On this Christmas 2017, we wanted to stop and thank each and every one of you, who are believing and praying for this amazing film franchise to be created. We are especially thankful for the Karas family who have come alongside of our efforts and we want you to know, every call, every hour you give, matters.
May the Lord bless each one of you in 2018 and let's turn on the switch and make ELLEN'S LIGHT shine forever.
Love you all,
